Job Overview:

The Petroleum Quality Assurance Inspector is tasked with conducting thorough inspections to determine the quantity of hydrocarbons in various storage and transport mediums, including shore tanks, railcars, and tank trucks. This role involves collecting samples for subsequent laboratory analysis to ensure compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct physical sampling, measurement, and temperature assessment of shore tanks utilizing diverse methodologies.
  • Calculate and document quantities transferred, ensuring complete reconciliation of data.
  • Accurately fill out all necessary reports and documentation.
  • Collaborate effectively with client representatives, regulatory officials, and facility personnel.
  • Maintain ongoing communication with office personnel regarding the status of inspections.
  • Stay informed about industry practices and client-specific procedures.
  • Provide mentorship and support to Inspector Trainees.
  • Uphold the highest ethical standards in all professional interactions.
  • Execute additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in Petroleum Inspection within the Oil, Gas, and Chemical sectors.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
  • Basic mathematical skills with a good understanding of fractions.
  • Willingness to work outdoors in challenging weather conditions and confined spaces.
  • Capability to climb storage tank ladders and stairs, lift up to 75 pounds, and accurately distinguish colors.
  • Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Possession of reliable, insured transportation and all necessary licenses.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively under pressure.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the capacity to synthesize information into actionable solutions.
