POSITION SUMMARY:

The Quality Assurance Inspector is accountable to the Manager of Quality Assurance. This role involves assessing the quality system requirements of the organization for compliance with regulatory standards and ensuring that all activities conform to these requirements.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assess the organization's procedures and practices for alignment with customer and regulatory agency standards.
  • Conduct surveillance of activities within customer programs.
  • Document non-conformities through Corrective Action Reports (CARs) in accordance with established procedures.
  • Collaborate with responsible parties to identify root causes and necessary corrective actions for non-conformities.
  • Perform follow-up assessments to evaluate the effectiveness of corrective and preventive actions.
  • Review historical non-conformities and data to identify trends and opportunities for quality system enhancements.
  • Support training and management in educating personnel on program requirements.
  • Promote a quality-focused perspective in production areas to foster good maintenance and safety practices.
  • Engage with management and customer representatives to facilitate improvements in programs and quality systems.
  • Undertake additional tasks as directed by the Manager of Quality Assurance.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION: A high school diploma or GED is required; a degree or equivalent is preferred.

EXPERIENCE: A minimum of 5 years of experience in aircraft maintenance or Quality Assurance is necessary.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT: The role involves working in both climate-controlled and industrial environments.

SUPERVISION: The position operates under general direction, with discretion in determining the best methods to achieve desired outcomes.

INTERPERSONAL SKILLS: Strong interpersonal skills are essential for effective collaboration across various departments and with customer representatives.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The position requires extensive walking and climbing, with the ability to manage stress related to achieving goals and deadlines.
