POSITION SUMMARY:

The Quality Assurance Inspector is accountable to the Manager of Quality Assurance. This role involves assessing compliance with FAA regulations, customer requirements, and other regulatory standards, while ensuring that all activities align with these guidelines.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assess procedures and practices for adherence to customer and regulatory agency standards.
  • Conduct surveillance of activities within customer programs.
  • Document non-conformities using Corrective Action Reports (CARs) as per established procedures.
  • Collaborate with responsible parties to identify root causes and necessary corrective actions.
  • Perform follow-up assessments to evaluate the effectiveness of corrective actions.
  • Review historical non-conformities to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Support training and management in educating personnel on program requirements.
  • Promote quality and safety practices within production areas.
  • Liaise with management and customer representatives to enhance program and quality systems.
  • Undertake additional tasks as directed by the Manager of Quality Assurance.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION: High School Diploma or GED required; degree or equivalent preferred.

EXPERIENCE: Minimum of 5 years in aircraft maintenance or Quality Assurance roles.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT: This position involves working in both climate-controlled and non-climate-controlled environments, requiring physical stamina for extensive walking and climbing.

INTERPERSONAL SKILLS: Strong interpersonal skills are essential for effective collaboration across departments and with customer representatives.
