Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct a variety of chemical and physical tests in accordance with ASTM standards.
  • Assist in the calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of laboratory equipment.
  • Ensure cleanliness and proper maintenance of glassware and testing apparatus.
  • Prepare reagents and maintain accurate records of testing data.
  • Utilize the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) for data entry and reporting.
  • Maintain quality control records and manage laboratory supply inventories.
  • Adhere to safety and quality protocols while maintaining a clean work environment.
  • Engage in cross-training opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.

Qualifications:
  • Strong mathematical and observational skills.
  • Proficiency in LIMS applications and established laboratory processes.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Capability to follow both standard and non-standard operating procedures.
  • Experience with both simple and complex laboratory instrumentation.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word and Excel.
  • Physical ability to lift and carry weights up to 49 pounds and stand for extended periods.
  • Exposure to various chemicals in a laboratory setting.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; college-level chemistry coursework is a plus.
  • Prior experience in a laboratory environment is advantageous.
