Job Overview

As a Sales Engineer in Automation, you will oversee a designated sales region, acting as the primary liaison for our clientele. Your role will involve engaging with customers both in-person and through virtual meetings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Exhibit proficiency in automation technologies and associated components.
  • Assist customers in navigating the selection process for automation technologies, ensuring they choose products that align with their application requirements.
  • Conduct site visits for face-to-face consultations on new applications, offering technical insights to secure business opportunities.
  • Prepare detailed quotations through direct or indirect customer engagement.
  • Assess all sales leads by discussing specific automation needs with clients via phone and email, while diligently recording and following up on sales interactions.
  • Develop proof-of-concept demonstrations of Apex Automation and Machine solutions tailored to meet customer challenges.
  • Provide ongoing technical support for both new and existing applications.
  • Monitor customer sales activities closely to stay informed about new developments.
  • Participate in product training and continuous professional development in sales and product knowledge.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • 3-5 years of sales experience, either inside or outside, with a manufacturer or distributor.
  • Experience in Motor Controls, Motion Control, or related fields.
  • A solid understanding of automated manufacturing processes, machine builders, systems integrators, or panel shops.
  • A technical background or training, with a preference for a 2- or 4-year degree.
