Role Summary:

The Cannabis Retail Specialist will support the management team in the daily operations of the dispensary, ensuring compliance with established policies and procedures. This role involves assisting customers in selecting suitable products, processing transactions, handling cash, and providing exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and the ability to engage effectively with a diverse clientele.

We are looking for enthusiastic and motivated Cannabis Retail Specialists who excel in customer service and are dedicated to ensuring a positive experience for our customers. Previous experience in cannabis retail is advantageous but not mandatory.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Uphold the company's mission and core values while maintaining professionalism and ethical standards.
  • Welcome all customers warmly and assist them throughout their shopping experience.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service while facilitating the sale of cannabis products.
  • Ensure each customer receives personalized attention from entry to exit.
  • Address customer inquiries and resolve complaints to maintain high service standards.
  • Guide customers on the sales floor, making informed product recommendations based on their needs.
  • Assist customers in selecting appropriate products for their specific requirements.
  • Ensure accurate and efficient order fulfillment at all times.
  • Operate the cash register and manage transactions with precision.
  • Follow company Standard Operating Procedures diligently.
  • Verify customer eligibility for purchases in accordance with state regulations.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization within the dispensary.
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve sales and compliance objectives.
  • Participate in team meetings and ongoing training sessions.
  • Manage incoming phone inquiries and direct calls as necessary.
  • Adhere to all relevant cannabis laws and regulations.
  • Foster a positive team environment through collaboration and respect.
  • Engage in continuous professional development and stay informed about industry trends.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • High school diploma required; college degree preferred.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years in customer service.
  • Experience in cannabis retail is preferred.
  • Experience in a retail or customer service environment.
  • Strong customer service skills and phone etiquette.
  • Cash handling experience with accuracy.
  • Ability to manage customer interactions effectively.
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on process improvement.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be able to perform physical tasks as required.
  • Must possess reliable transportation and valid identification.
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.

Additional Requirements:

  • Must be at least 21 years of age and pass a background check.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 20 pounds.

Compensation:

This position is classified as Non-Exempt and is eligible for overtime pay in accordance with applicable laws. While overtime may not be guaranteed, it may be required based on business needs.
