Responsibilities Include
  • Sales and Use Tax Compliance
    • Assist in the preparation and submission of state and local sales tax returns.
    • Support state sales tax audits by compiling and organizing necessary documentation and correspondence.
  • Income Tax Compliance
    • Assist in maintaining tax depreciation records for income tax purposes, providing projections and summaries as required.
    • Support the quarterly and annual income tax provision processes as needed.
    • Collaborate with external tax consultants for the filing of federal, state, and local income tax returns, estimates, and projections.
  • Prepare journal entries and reconcile general ledger tax accounts.
  • Process electronic or check payment requests for tax obligations.
  • Assist in resolving tax notices.
  • Support new business initiatives and acquisitions by providing timely and accurate tax guidance.
  • Conduct analysis and research on federal, state, and local tax issues.
  • Stay updated on relevant statutory, regulatory, and technological changes to identify and implement necessary adjustments and best practices, including opportunities for process enhancements.
  • Undertake additional projects and administrative tasks as assigned.

  • Familiarity with the Internal Revenue Code and Regulations is a plus but not required.
Educational Background
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Taxation, or a related field is preferred or an equivalent qualification.
