Position Overview

As a Field Applications Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in introducing innovative technologies within the spatial biology and proteomics domains. This field-based position encompasses both pre-sales and post-sales training and support for the Syncell Microscoop Platform and its associated consumables. You will serve as the crucial link between sales and applications, assisting customers in grasping the fundamentals and potential of our technology to address their scientific inquiries. We seek an individual who embodies curiosity and has a passion for inspiring prospective clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Acquire in-depth knowledge of Syncell's Microscoop technology, including sample preparation methodologies, instrumentation, software, network communications, and comprehensive platform integration.
  • Master the techniques for preparing tissue samples using Syncell's reagents and chemistry, understanding their impact on platform performance.
  • Onboard, train, and support new clients to ensure proper understanding and adherence to protocols.
  • Collaborate closely with your field sales counterpart to meet revenue objectives.
  • Assist in formulating territory sales and business development strategies, identifying key opinion leaders (KOLs) and potential customers.
  • Support clients in their data workflows to ensure the efficient generation of high-quality results across various applications.
  • Provide technical advice on experimental design for single-cell spatial analysis.
  • Document client issues, investigate root causes, and collaborate with Syncell's support and R&D teams to implement effective solutions.
  • Work in tandem with the sales team to identify new customer and market opportunities.
  • Gather feedback from existing clients and relay it to product teams and management to inform product development.
  • Qualify and develop opportunities by assessing the needs and goals of prospective clients, offering tailored pre-sales consultations and presentations.
  • Throughout the sales process, act as a consultant to communicate appropriate product and performance expectations to clients, guiding the sales process toward successful outcomes.
  • Collaborate with fellow applications colleagues to facilitate customer training and post-sales support.
  • Deliver impactful product and application presentations, workshops, and seminars.
  • Maintain enthusiasm about how our technology can benefit our clients.
  • Focus on customer support and success, ensuring our clients become our strongest advocates.

Qualifications:

  • Solid understanding of spatial and proteomics technologies, along with the research areas pertinent to our clients.
  • Exceptional communication skills, capable of simplifying complex topics for diverse audiences.
  • Willingness to travel (up to 50%) to client sites for in-person meetings and events.
  • PhD in life sciences.
  • Minimum of 5 years of laboratory experience in proteomics, microscopy, and/or mass spectrometry.
  • Commercial experience as a field application specialist with a robust background in tissue-based workflows.
  • Outstanding relationship-building abilities, effectively engaging with a variety of personalities both within and outside the organization.

The salary range for this position is $110,000 - $130,000, with eligibility for bonus/incentive compensation.
