Position Overview:


Radiance Technologies, a dynamic and expanding employee-owned firm dedicated to supporting the Army Rapid Capabilities and Critical Technologies Office (RCCTO), is seeking a skilled mid to senior-level simulation and modeling specialist to enhance our development team.

We are in search of a proactive individual with exceptional interpersonal skills to collaborate with our team and clients in designing, executing, and evaluating HEL system performance through simulation and software analysis.

The selected candidate will assist in defining requirements, conducting analytical simulations of system hardware and functionalities, predicting performance, and performing data analysis utilizing programming languages such as C++, Java, Python, and MATLAB for algorithm development.


Essential Qualifications:
Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, Mechanical Engineering, or Aerospace Engineering

U.S. citizenship with the capability to obtain a security clearance

Proven programming experience in a professional setting

Required Experience:
5+ years of expertise in modeling, simulation, and analysis of intricate systems


Demonstrated professional software development experience of 4 or more years, preferably in software development, modeling, simulation, analysis, or systems integration.

Familiarity with various programming languages such as C++, C#, Java, Python, or MATLAB

Ability to lead and collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders involved in projects

Preferred Qualifications:
Proven capability to conduct detailed modeling, simulation, and mission analysis.

Experience in developing algorithms for emulating complex hardware components.

Support the development of model and analysis tool software, conduct data acquisition, and perform comprehensive analysis.

Experience in modeling test activities prior to execution using trajectory/flight path engagement scenarios in both 2D and 3D.

Familiarity with HEL modeling tools, AFSIM, and SIMDIS Visualization.

Experience with High Energy Laser (HEL) interactions focusing on temperature-dependent properties and HEL-specific features.

Ability to interpret Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and thermal analysis of HEL interactions using tools such as LightSAber.

Experience in a complete software development lifecycle, from planning, use case and requirements definition, to coding and implementation, unit and regression test development, to managing deployment of sophisticated software/hardware systems, and the maintenance of those systems

Experience with various operating systems such as Windows or Linux

Experience working with different databases including relational, non-relational, and other formats

Experience in analyzing and aggregating large datasets from multiple, diverse sources

Active Secret or Top Secret Clearance
