As a Modeling and Simulation Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in supporting large-scale operations within the government sector. This position is ideal for individuals looking to advance their careers in a dynamic environment that prioritizes professional growth and development.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Collaborate with the System Engineering Lead and Deputy to facilitate coordination with the M&S team.
2. Conduct thorough evaluations of M&S plans, ensuring compliance with technical requirements and timelines.
3. Engage with various stakeholders to assess M&S needs, monitor delivery statuses, and prepare comprehensive reports and presentations.
4. Utilize extensive knowledge of the system engineering lifecycle to analyze program challenges and propose effective solutions aligned with strategic objectives.
5. Develop and deliver technical presentations that clearly communicate complex concepts and recommendations.
Qualifications:
Essential:
- Master’s Degree in a STEM field (Computer Science or Engineering)
- Over 12 years of relevant experience in Models and Simulations and Systems Engineering
- In-depth understanding of the System Engineering Life Cycle
- Proven experience in integrating models and simulations into cohesive system-of-systems simulations
Preferred:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
- Familiarity with MDA processes
- Knowledge of Model-Based System Engineering
- Experience in preparing documentation for Program Reviews and Engineering Review Boards (ERB)
Skills and Abilities:
- Capability to work independently or lead teams in solving engineering and scientific challenges.
- Comprehensive technical knowledge and practical experience.
- Understanding of missile defense system components and operations.
- Familiarity with DoD and MDA processes.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while collaborating with multiple organizations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft software applications.
- Willingness to travel as required.
