Chenega Corporation has an exciting opportunity for a Modeling and Simulation Engineer. This role involves supporting significant government projects by utilizing advanced technology.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the System Engineering Lead by collaborating with the industry M&S team.
  • Conduct technical evaluations of M&S plans and monitor compliance with technical requirements.
  • Coordinate with various stakeholders to establish M&S timelines and track delivery statuses.
  • Utilize extensive knowledge of the system engineering lifecycle to analyze and propose solutions for program challenges.
  • Create and deliver technical reports and presentations that clearly communicate complex ideas and recommendations.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Master's Degree in a STEM field (Computer Science or Engineering).
  • Over 12 years of relevant experience in Models and Simulations and Systems Engineering.
  • Thorough understanding of the System Engineering Life Cycle.
  • Experience in integrating models and simulations into comprehensive system-of-systems simulations.

Preferred:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously.
  • Familiarity with MDA processes.
  • Knowledge of Model-Based System Engineering.
  • Experience in preparing documentation for Program Reviews and Engineering Review Boards.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Capability to work independently or as part of a team, applying engineering principles to resolve technical issues.
  • In-depth technical knowledge in engineering.
  • Understanding of missile defense system components and operations.
  • Familiarity with DoD and MDA protocols.
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment while coordinating with multiple entities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to complete tasks without supervision.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
  • Flexibility to work during non-standard hours as necessary.
