As a supplier of building materials with multiple retail locations, our goal is to provide and deliver products to contractors, homeowners, DIY enthusiasts, and more. We prioritize building lasting relationships with our customers through expert guidance and high-quality offerings.

Position Summary

The warehouse operates as a non-retail facility responsible for receiving and dispatching special order items and managing large stock transfers to our retail outlets. The role involves utilizing inventory tracking systems to gather materials and load them into containers for transfer. This position demands a high level of focus, meticulous attention to detail, critical thinking skills, and a proactive approach to resolving inventory discrepancies. Duties may also include assisting colleagues with the movement of special order items within the warehouse and, in some instances, making deliveries using a company vehicle or operating a forklift.

This is a full-time position requiring 40 hours per week with eligibility for overtime.
The standard schedule for this role is Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 4:45 PM.

Key Responsibilities

Successful candidates will be expected to:

  • Adhere to all safety protocols to ensure personal and team safety
  • Exhibit strong attention to detail and accuracy when preparing materials for stock transfers
  • Be willing to operate a forklift (training will be provided)
  • Remain on foot and active for the majority of the shift in a warehouse setting
  • Work independently and collaboratively to achieve stock transfer goals
  • Develop and maintain familiarity with product codes, point of sale systems, and warehouse management software
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming warehouse environment
  • Uphold Dunn Lumber's core values in all actions
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

To excel in this role, candidates must be capable of lifting materials weighing 60 lbs or more, transporting them short distances, and loading them into vehicles. Proficiency in typing, general computer skills, and a positive, collaborative attitude are also essential.

Additional Information

This entry-level position includes a paid two-week training period, with ongoing learning opportunities throughout employment. Training will take place on-site with a supervisor or at a designated training facility, focusing on product knowledge, point of sale software, and warehouse operations.
