CENTRAL SUPPLY/TRANSPORTATION COORDINATOR

Full Time

Position Overview:

  • Responsible for procuring necessary supplies from various vendors while adhering to budget constraints.
  • Ensures all relevant supplies are properly labeled with charge bar code stickers.
  • Inputs supply charges into the financial software system for accurate accounting and billing.
  • Maintains organization of nursing supplies across Storage Rooms, Lab Room, and Nurses' Stations.
  • Stocks enteral feeding supplies and related items as required.
  • Orders and monitors Oxygen supplies, including tanks and concentrators, in collaboration with Central Supply.
  • Oversees the cleanliness and maintenance of O2 concentrators, IV pumps, suction machines, and other essential nursing equipment.
  • Facilitates patient transportation to and from medical appointments.
  • Completes errands for the facility, such as pharmacy visits, as directed by the Director of Nursing or their designee.
  • Performs additional tasks as assigned by the Director of Nursing or their designee.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED with a current Nurse Aide Listing.
  • Current CPR certification is required.
  • Basic clerical and computer skills are necessary.
  • Willingness to perform routine tasks consistently.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues.
  • Must demonstrate kindness and respect towards patients, staff, and visitors.
  • Uniform and nametag must be worn as designated for the position.
  • Familiarity with and adherence to personnel, departmental, and facility policies is essential.
  • Participation in in-service training and staff meetings is required.
  • A valid driver's license and a clean driving record are necessary for patient transportation duties.
