CENTRAL SUPPLY/TRANSPORTATION COORDINATOR

Job Overview:

  • Procures necessary supplies from various vendors while adhering to budget constraints.
  • Affixes charge bar code labels on all relevant supplies.
  • Enters charges into the software system for accurate financial tracking and billing.
  • Organizes essential nursing supplies in designated areas including Storage Rooms, Lab Room, and Nurses' Station(s).
  • Ensures proper stocking of enteral feedings and related delivery equipment as required.
  • Requests Oxygen supplies as necessary and oversees oxygen tanks and concentrators in collaboration with Central Supply.
  • Maintains cleanliness of oxygen concentrators, IV pumps, suction machines, nebulizers, and other medical equipment.
  • Responsible for the safe transportation of patients to scheduled medical appointments.
  • Completes errands for the facility as directed by the Director of Nursing or designated personnel.
  • Performs additional tasks as assigned by the Director of Nursing or designee.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED with a current Nurse Aide Listing.
  • Current CPR certification required.
  • Basic clerical and computer skills are essential.
  • Willingness to perform routine tasks consistently.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with team members.
  • Demonstrates kindness and respect towards patients, staff, and visitors.
  • Required to wear the designated uniform and nametag.
  • Must be familiar with and adhere to personnel, departmental, and facility policies.
  • Participation in in-service training and staff meetings is mandatory.
  • A valid driver's license and a clean driving record are necessary for patient transportation.
