Position Summary:

We are looking for motivated individuals who are eager to grow and utilize their skills to contribute to our success. The primary role involves promoting and selling construction materials and services to both existing and potential contractor clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Familiarize yourself with company products, processes, culture, and customer service principles.
  • Understand the procedures for managing orders, special requests, purchase orders, and receiving processes.
  • Build and maintain relationships with current and prospective customers through direct and telephonic communication, ensuring the completion of project take-offs, bids, and quotes while addressing inquiries and resolving issues.
  • Prepare and deliver precise sales proposals and quotes to clients.
  • Maximize sales opportunities within established market areas.
  • Provide knowledgeable, courteous, and prompt service to customers at all times.
  • Research and supply accurate information regarding materials, pricing, and technical specifications to clients.
  • Conduct job-site visits to ensure timely delivery and project completion.
  • Ensure that all projects achieve suitable profit margins to validate sales.
  • Coordinate deliveries and credit pickups with the yard dispatcher.
  • Represent the company at various activities and functions.
  • Develop a system to monitor the progress of customer projects.
Qualifications:
  • Experience in sales within the lumber industry is advantageous.
  • Basic knowledge of the construction sector and local building regulations is preferred.
  • Highly driven and motivated with a successful sales track record.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and selling skills.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and prioritization abilities.
  • Capability to create and present tailored presentations to meet audience needs.
  • Effective relationship management skills and receptiveness to feedback.
Requirements:

A valid driver's license, current automobile insurance, and a clean driving record are essential.
