**Position Overview**

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Become proficient in company offerings, operational procedures, corporate culture, and customer service standards.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of order processing, including special orders, purchase orders, credit memos, and receiving protocols.
  • Build and maintain relationships with existing and prospective clients through direct communication and phone interactions, ensuring accurate planning, bidding, quoting, and resolution of issues.
  • Prepare and present detailed sales proposals and quotes to both potential and current clients.
  • Drive sales growth within designated market territories.
  • Provide prompt, courteous, and knowledgeable service to customers consistently.
  • Research and supply customers with accurate information regarding suitable materials, pricing, and technical specifications.
  • Conduct site visits to guarantee timely project execution and delivery.
  • Ensure that projects achieve appropriate profit margins to justify the sale.
  • Coordinate all deliveries and credit pickups with the yard dispatcher.
  • Represent the company at various events and functions.
  • Establish procedures to track the progress of customer projects.

**Qualifications**

  • Prior sales experience in the lumber sector is preferred.
  • A foundational understanding of the construction industry and local building codes is advantageous.
  • Highly driven and results-oriented with a proven sales track record.
  • Outstanding sales, communication, and negotiation abilities.
  • Strong skills in prioritization, time management, and organization.
  • Adept at customizing presentations to meet audience needs.
  • Proficient in relationship management and receptive to feedback.
  • Valid driver's license, current car insurance, and a clean driving record.
