**Role Overview**

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of company products, operational procedures, and customer service standards.
  • Acquire proficiency in managing orders, special requests, purchase orders, credit adjustments, and receiving processes.
  • Build and maintain relationships with existing and prospective clients through both in-person and telephone communications, ensuring effective planning, bidding, quoting, and problem resolution.
  • Prepare and present accurate sales proposals and quotations to both potential and current clients.
  • Drive sales growth within designated market territories.
  • Provide timely, courteous, and knowledgeable service to customers consistently.
  • Research and supply customers with detailed information regarding suitable materials, pricing, and technical specifications.
  • Conduct site visits to guarantee timely project execution and delivery.
  • Ensure that projects achieve the necessary profit margins to justify the sale.
  • Coordinate all deliveries and credit pickups with the yard dispatcher.
  • Represent the company at various events and functions.
  • Establish procedures to track the progress of customer projects.

**Qualifications**

  • Previous experience in sales within the lumber industry is preferred.
  • A foundational understanding of the construction industry and local building codes is advantageous.
  • Highly motivated and results-driven with a proven sales track record.
  • Excellent sales, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and prioritization skills.
  • Able to customize presentations to meet the needs of different audiences.
  • Proficient in relationship management and receptive to constructive feedback.
  • Valid driver's license, current vehicle insurance, and a clean driving record.
