Position Summary:

We are seeking motivated individuals who are eager to contribute to our growth and success. The primary role involves promoting and selling construction materials and services to both existing and potential contractor clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Gain comprehensive knowledge of company products, operational procedures, and customer service standards.
  • Understand the processes for handling orders, including special orders and purchase orders.
  • Build and maintain relationships with current and prospective customers through direct and phone interactions, ensuring accurate completion of plan take-offs, bids, and quotes.
  • Prepare and deliver precise sales proposals and quotes to clients.
  • Maximize sales opportunities within existing market territories.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring knowledgeable and prompt assistance at all times.
  • Research and supply accurate information regarding materials, pricing, and technical specifications.
  • Conduct job-site visits to oversee delivery and project completion.
  • Ensure that all sales projects meet profit margin expectations.
  • Coordinate deliveries and credit pickups with the yard dispatcher.
  • Represent the company at various activities and functions.
  • Develop a system to track the progress of customer projects.
Qualifications:
  • Experience in sales within the lumber industry is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with the construction sector and local building regulations is preferred.
  • Highly driven and motivated with a proven sales track record.
  • Strong skills in selling, communication, and negotiation.
  • Excellent time management and organizational abilities.
  • Capability to create and deliver tailored presentations.
  • Strong relationship management skills and receptiveness to feedback.
Requirements:

Must possess a valid driver's license, current automobile insurance, and a clean driving record.
