POSITION SUMMARY

The Electrical Technician I is responsible for planning layouts and installing electrical components and control systems, executing the following essential duties:

  • Measuring, bending, assembling, and cutting electrical conduit.
  • Pulling wires through conduits.
  • Splicing wires as necessary.
  • Connecting wires to lighting fixtures and power systems.
  • Installing breaker panels.
  • Repairing malfunctioning equipment or systems.
  • Connecting power cables and grounding leads to machinery.
  • Installing probes and transducers.
  • Wiring transformers.
  • Integrating compressor panels.
  • Wiring defrost systems, lights, receptacles, Fire-Stats, and T-Stats.
  • Measuring and cutting wiring harnesses for defrost and compressor applications.
  • Performing additional tasks as assigned.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS

  • Proficient in reading and interpreting tape measures.
  • Basic literacy and numeracy skills.
  • Understanding of 6S methodology.
  • Knowledge of torque specifications.
  • Ability to comprehend job specifications.

BASIC REQUIREMENTS

A high school diploma or GED, along with three to six months of relevant experience or training, is required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The physical requirements for this role include regular standing, using hands for manipulation, and reaching with arms. Frequent walking, climbing, and bending are also necessary. The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and possess specific vision capabilities, including close and distance vision.

WORK ARRANGEMENT

This position is onsite.

SALARY RANGE

Compensation is determined based on various job-related factors, including responsibilities, experience, education, location, and essential skills.
