Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Systems Technician to join our team at Dover Corporation. As an Electrical Systems Technician, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install, repair, and maintain electrical systems and equipment, including wiring, apparatus, and control equipment.
  • Measure, cut, bend, assemble, and install electrical conduit.
  • Splice wires by stripping installation from terminal leads and soldering wire together.
  • Connect wiring to panel boxes.
  • Install switches, relays, and circuit-breaker panels.
  • Connect power cables to equipment and install grounding leads.
  • Pull wiring through conduit.
  • Perform wiring of standard, medium, and complex panels.
  • Transformer wiring.
  • Tie-in compressor panels.
  • Wire defrost.
  • Wire lights, receptacles, fire-stats, and T-state.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
