Job Overview

The Maintenance Associate plays a crucial role in ensuring the operational efficiency of production equipment. This position requires a solid understanding of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and resolve issues with high-voltage systems up to 480 Volt 3-phase power.
  • Handle troubleshooting for low-voltage control circuits, including computer-based systems.
  • Utilize test equipment such as digital multi-meters and amp meters to assess equipment functionality.
  • Conduct tests on electrical and electronic components for continuity, current, voltage, and resistance.
  • Address issues in pneumatic and hydraulic systems, ensuring timely repairs or replacements of industrial components.
  • Assist in the implementation of preventive maintenance programs and maintain accurate maintenance records.
  • Perform routine maintenance and setup on automation and production machinery.
  • Interpret schematics and identify electrical symbols accurately.
  • Leverage a computer-based inventory system to generate reports and locate spare parts efficiently.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and utilize mandatory safety equipment while executing tasks.
  • Support maintenance and production teams as necessary, including training new employees.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring compliance with company policies.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in industrial maintenance, preferably within the plastics sector.
  • Proficient in mechanical and electrical maintenance, with experience in VFDs, servo motors, and PLCs.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on teamwork and professionalism.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; an associate degree is preferred.
  • Possession of personal tools and the ability to use them safely and effectively.
