Key Responsibilities

  • Designs, develops, and executes maintenance strategies aimed at minimizing downtime, reducing supply chain inefficiencies, and optimizing operational costs while maximizing the use of technicians, materials, and resources.
  • Collaborates with production teams to achieve manufacturing goals and maintain quality standards.
  • Offers technical guidance to enhance machine reliability, decrease breakdown occurrences, and improve Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF).
  • Facilitates training and development for maintenance staff, manufacturing operators, and team leaders.
  • Contributes to the eight pillars of Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) by providing technical support and coaching to enhance Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE). Oversees the Effective Maintenance (EM) pillar to ensure reliable maintenance practices, including 5S, Visual Factory, and spare parts management for both new and existing machinery.
  • Leads initiatives during equipment modifications to establish new protocols, minimize breakdowns, conduct root cause analyses, and assess risks and hazards.
  • Maintains a comprehensive maintenance master plan that aligns with organizational objectives through quantitative data.
  • Coordinates support services for machining, welding, electrical, and other contracted services.
  • Implements additional support pillars to adhere to safety standards, maintain cleanliness, ensure quality, and comply with relevant regulations.
  • Prepared to work outdoors, with some physical lifting required; exposure to heat and dust may occur.
Qualifications Required
  • Preferred degree in electrical or mechanical engineering.
  • A minimum of five years of supervisory experience in a dynamic manufacturing setting focused on reliability enhancements.
  • Experience in managing maintenance teams and supporting autonomous manufacturing teams in their continuous improvement efforts.
  • Familiarity with TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) Pillars, particularly Autonomous and Effective Maintenance in a process-oriented environment is preferred.
  • Practical knowledge of time-based, condition-based, and predictive maintenance methodologies.
  • Experience in managing Preventative Maintenance (P.M.) practices.
  • Proven ability to coach, mentor, and motivate employees in skill development.
  • Demonstrated experience in proactively leading teams to resolve issues, utilizing automatic line monitoring and other reliability enhancement techniques.
  • Experience in establishing business objectives to drive and sustain continuous loss reductions is essential.
  • Familiarity with shop floor/information systems (e.g., PC, PLC, and/or Robotics) is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Analytical Process Mapping is advantageous.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel, with the ability to learn other job-related applications.
Working Conditions
  • Ability to work in outdoor settings and endure temperatures ranging from above 100 degrees to below 32 degrees.
  • Willingness to work in a hot, humid, cold, and noisy industrial environment.
  • Commitment to adhering to safety regulations and wearing necessary safety equipment.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to perform tasks such as lifting, walking, climbing, stooping, standing, pushing, and/or pulling for up to twelve (12) hours daily.
  • Ability to work around moving machinery and equipment.
  • Capability to lift and pull weights up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to safely and effectively perform essential job functions in compliance with ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting productivity benchmarks.
