Enviva is seeking a highly skilled Control Room Operator to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for monitoring the status of all plant systems and ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our facilities.
Key Responsibilities- Plant Monitoring: Operate plant functions from the control room, monitoring systems and responding to alarms as necessary.
- System Management: Manage chip feed system, fuel feed system, furnace, drier system, secondary sizing, and pellet presses to ensure continuous plant operation.
- Communication: Act as the primary contact for plant operations, communicating with team members and stakeholders as needed.
- Quality Control: Monitor and manage various levels and feed rates to ensure high-quality production.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment as needed.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Communication Skills: Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions, as well as communicate effectively with team members.
- Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to analyze problems and develop effective solutions.
- Technical Skills: Basic computer skills and experience with software applications.
- Physical Demands: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with frequent standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Environmental Factors: Ability to work in a hot, humid, cold, and noisy industrial environment.
- Physical Demands: Ability to work in outdoor environments and occasionally in temperatures above 100 degrees and below 32 degrees.
