Position Summary:

The ideal candidate will possess attributes such as confidence, accountability, integrity, and professionalism. This role requires persistence, strong listening skills, and a proven track record in market development and customer relationship management.

Work Environment:

This is a remote position that necessitates daily travel. The extent of travel will vary based on the distance from the representative's home to customer locations, with an average of two nights spent away each month. The sales territory encompasses approximately 80 customers, with a total territory value of 3.9 million.

Customer Base:

Our business strategy focuses on B2B interactions within the building materials sector, primarily serving the Minneapolis Metro area and central Minnesota.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and establish connections with potential clients
  • Conduct product demonstrations for prospective customers
  • Maintain and nurture relationships with existing clients
  • Participate in industry trade shows to generate leads and strengthen client relationships
  • Monitor industry trends to uncover new sales opportunities
  • Propose targeted marketing strategies for specific demographics
  • Compile and submit sales reports to management

Essential Functions:

  • Qualify leads within the assigned territory and build a robust sales pipeline
  • Facilitate the sales process by providing exceptional customer service
  • Keep sales and client databases updated with accurate information
  • Stay informed on industry developments through team meetings and training
  • Negotiate terms with potential and existing clients to finalize sales
  • Plan takeoffs as necessary

Requirements:

  • Ability to sit for extended periods while working on a computer
  • Capability to lift up to 15 pounds occasionally
  • Willingness to travel frequently
  • Overnight travel may be required 2-3 times per month
  • Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Sales, Business, or a related field, or
  • A minimum of five years of relevant experience
