Ingeniero de Virtualización Senior
The Select Group está en búsqueda de un Ingeniero de Virtualización altamente calificado para unirse a nuestro equipo. En este puesto, buscamos un profesional con amplia experiencia en tecnologías de virtualización para diseñar, implementar y mantener nuestra infraestructura de virtualización. El candidato ideal debe poseer un sólido conocimiento en servicios y herramientas de VMware, así como experiencia en lenguajes de programación y scripting.

Requisitos del Ingeniero de Virtualización Senior:
  • Título de maestría en Ciencias de la Computación, Ingeniería Informática o un campo técnico relacionado; seis años de experiencia relacionada; o combinación equivalente de educación y experiencia.
  • Más de 4 años de experiencia profesional en servicios y herramientas de VMware.
  • Experiencia directa en implementaciones bare-metal de infraestructura VMware.
  • Experiencia en la construcción y administración de múltiples productos de VMware en diversas ubicaciones remotas y centros de datos.
  • Más de 2 años de experiencia en programación utilizando uno o más de los siguientes: Java, C++, Perl, Python, Ruby o scripting avanzado en Shell.
Experiencia adicional preferida:
  • Experiencia práctica en Infraestructura Como Código, automatización de implementaciones, gestión de clústeres y seguridad de sistemas dentro de un Pipeline CI/CD.
  • Experiencia con VMware en la Nube (VMC) en AWS.
  • Experiencia en infraestructura de VMware en un entorno empresarial muy grande.
  • Conocimientos en Kubernetes relacionados con principios de contenedores/Microservicios.
  • Práctica disciplinada de producción, mantenimiento y versionado de documentación del sistema.
Responsabilidades Primarias:
  • Actuar en una capacidad de liderazgo técnico: Mentorear a ingenieros junior y nuevos miembros del equipo, y aplicar experiencia técnica a problemas desafiantes de programación y diseño.
  • Desarrollar diseños y soluciones de infraestructura VMware altamente disponibles y tolerantes a fallos.
  • Establecer estándares y directrices para el diseño y desarrollo, ajuste, implementación y mantenimiento de la infraestructura VMware, incluyendo procesos de respaldo, actualización y automatización.
  • Identificar y recomendar proactivamente actualizaciones de software o arquitectura según sea necesario antes de alcanzar limitaciones de capacidad.
  • Desarrollar respuestas automatizadas a incidentes para que no sea necesaria la intervención manual.
  • Promover métricas del sistema (MTBF, MTTR, etc.) y comunicarlas a los tomadores de decisiones de manera regular.
  • Gestionar la prioridad de problemas y tickets y participar en un horario de guardia rotativo con otros miembros del equipo, incluyendo fines de semana.
