Position Overview

Compensation: Starting pay $21-22/hr

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality ABA services within a collaborative team environment for children aged 2-21 in both center-based and home settings.
  • Provide direct therapy, either one-on-one or in small groups, to children and young adults with autism, following the treatment plans established by the Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
  • Maintain a consistent caseload of therapy hours each week.
  • Ensure confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Implement treatment strategies across various areas, including communication, social skills, readiness for learning, self-care, alternative behaviors, and behavior reduction as directed by the BCBA.
  • Engage and motivate clients by tailoring activities to their interests.
  • Respond calmly and purposefully to challenging behaviors in alignment with the client's Behavior Intervention Plan.
  • Assist with assessments under BCBA supervision, provided proper training has been received.
  • Support the maintenance of order and safety within the therapy environment.
  • Collaborate with colleagues on related tasks to enhance the overall operations of the therapy center.
  • Provide coverage for clients as needed.
  • Participate in team meetings and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to share relevant information and deliver high-quality therapy.
  • Engage in ongoing training to enhance professional skills through various formats.
  • Complete all assignments related to meetings and training by established deadlines.
  • Fulfill daily operational tasks within the center, including opening/closing procedures, cleaning, organizing materials, and assisting fellow therapists.
  • Accurately document client performance through data collection and insurance notes in an online platform, ensuring timely billing for all sessions.
  • Implement treatment plans in various settings, including center, home, and community environments, with travel required.
  • May involve assistance with toilet training and diaper changing.
  • Successfully perform all essential duties as outlined.
  • Meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities required for this role.
  • Adhere to and uphold the core principles, policies, and procedures of BY YOUR SIDE.
  • Additional responsibilities may be assigned as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent required.
  • Must be at least 18 years old at the time of hire.
  • Bachelor's degree or enrollment in a relevant field such as psychology, communication disorders, or education is preferred.
  • Strong interest in working with children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
  • Willingness to learn about Applied Behavior Analysis and develop as a Behavior Technician.
  • Ability to maintain high standards of quality, safety, and infection control.
  • Effective communication skills with various stakeholders including clients, parents, and team members.
  • Proficiency in technology applications, including iPads.
  • Commitment to upholding the core principles, policies, and procedures of BY YOUR SIDE.
