Job Overview

This role within the PreFlight Airport Parking sector involves managing the shuttle bus schedule to and from the airport terminal and off-site parking facilities, along with greeting responsibilities and delivering exceptional customer service.

Depending on the specific location, this position may also require performing dual roles as a bus operator and/or customer service agent.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensures efficient shuttle bus rotation through effective radio communication with drivers.
  • Delivers outstanding customer service to all patrons.
  • Maintains an adequate supply of operational materials and notifies management when restocking is necessary.
  • Keeps a precise log of time to track the location and distance of buses, ensuring a steady flow based on schedules and driver breaks.
  • Addresses customer inquiries in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Confirms that all documentation is completed and equipment is functioning properly.
  • Communicates effectively with staff and customers in person, via telephone, and over two-way radios.
  • Monitors facility security systems as required.
  • Maintains a tidy workspace at all times.

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Depending on the location and/or role, a dispatcher may need to have sufficient math skills to handle time and monetary calculations for cross-functional duties in cashiering and/or customer service.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Must be at least 21 years old in accordance with airport regulations.
  • Must have unrestricted authorization to work in the United States.
  • Must successfully complete a math assessment as part of the selection process.
  • Must be willing to undergo pre-employment screenings, including but not limited to a Motor Vehicle Record check, drug testing, reference verification, and background checks.
  • May be required to work in a booth or small office and be exposed to outdoor weather conditions while assisting customers.
  • Must possess adequate hearing and vision capabilities to perform essential job functions.
  • If acting as a shuttle bus driver, must be prepared to take a physical examination as mandated by state or airport regulations.
  • Must be able to lift, push, and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Depending on the location and/or role, a valid driver's license may be necessary for driving duties.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong problem-solving abilities: Capacity to think clearly and act swiftly in emergencies while providing excellent customer service.
  • Ability to operate and communicate clearly through a two-way radio system, as well as in person and by phone with colleagues, supervisors, and customers.
  • Possess strong time management skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment based on customer volume, shift, season, etc.
  • Demonstrated reliability and effective time management skills.
  • Strong customer service orientation and teamwork skills.
