Position Overview:

E Ink is seeking a dedicated Environmental Sustainability Engineer to join our expanding team, responsible for executing our corporate sustainability initiatives and reporting directly to the AVP of Corporate Responsibility. The primary focus of this role is to support the development of business processes that enhance sustainability efforts across the organization, aiming to reduce our global carbon footprint and facilitate our transition to a decarbonized, circular economy model, with the ambitious target of achieving Net Carbon Zero by 2040.

In this role, you will collaborate with teams across Research, Product Development, Facilities, Manufacturing, and Operations to gather data for Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) inventories, implement innovative processes and materials that demonstrate a reduced carbon footprint, and work closely with the Supply Chain team to evaluate the sustainability of our suppliers' practices and materials. Additionally, you will partner with our global Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) team to ensure alignment between local initiatives and corporate sustainability objectives.

Qualifications:

  • A strong passion for and experience in data-driven sustainability analysis, complemented by robust computer skills.
  • A Master's degree or higher in science, engineering, or physics with a focus on sustainability coursework, or equivalent experience. A B.S. degree with relevant experience may also be considered.
  • A background in manufacturing, environmental science, engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Familiarity with various chemical manufacturing processes and facility engineering.
  • A solid technical foundation with proven analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • A self-motivated individual capable of working independently while demonstrating meticulous attention to detail.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to navigate complex situations involving multiple stakeholders.
  • A commitment to working within a diverse and inclusive team environment.
Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with LCA software tools (such as SimaPro, GaBi, Open LCA, etc.).
