You will be responsible for leading a team of experienced researchers in the development of new process technology, engaging with internal partners, and overseeing R&D project execution.
Key Responsibilities- Lead a team of researchers in the development of new process technology for the Reinforcement Materials business.
- Engage with internal partners, including manufacturing, marketing, IP law, and business strategy, to drive innovation and development.
- Oversee R&D project execution, including technology transfer to plants.
- Develop and execute IP strategy for process technology that is aligned with business goals.
- Accountable for the safety of team, operations, and technology.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Advanced knowledge and deep understanding of fundamental engineering concepts and principles, and their application to process technology.
- Prior experience in leading process technology/process R&D projects, including process design, piloting, scale-up, and industrialization.
- Experience with process economic analysis and project valuation.
- Strong skills in experimental design, modeling, data management, and data analysis and interpretation.
- Ability to lead and inspire a team, and communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and business audiences.
- Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering or other relevant Engineering field with 8+ years of experience in industrial process development/R&D, OR Master's degree with 12+ years of related experience, OR Bachelor's degree and 14+ years of related experience.
