Position Overview:
Our facility is in need of an Applications Engineering Manager to oversee our Applications Engineering division. This team specializes in liquid filtration solutions tailored for Wet Etch & Cleans processes within semiconductor manufacturing.
As a premier supplier in the semiconductor sector, Entegris thrives on a diverse and dynamic environment enriched by a talented group of engineers and scientists. To sustain our growth in alignment with industry advancements, we seek a seasoned Applications Engineering Manager with experience in wet etch clean processes, equipped to tackle complex and often vaguely defined challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
- Guide a team of engineers and technicians to meet business and client objectives while fostering the professional development of team members.
- Serve as a technical authority on filtration systems employed in wet clean semiconductor operations, possessing a comprehensive understanding of filtration principles.
- Collaborate closely with field teams to engage with clients, representing Entegris as a knowledgeable technical resource on liquid filtration and addressing intricate challenges.
- Assist in the creation of innovative testing methodologies and processes to replicate customer workflows, enhancing the understanding of filtration mechanisms in complex chemical environments and identifying optimal filtration solutions.
- Convert insights and knowledge from the industry into actionable plans and objectives for R&D and Engineering teams to pursue during new product and technology development.
- Work in tandem with Product Marketing to establish product positioning and promotional strategies that enable field teams to deliver the most suitable solutions to clients.
- Demonstrate problem-solving capabilities, both independently and collaboratively, through thorough data collection, analysis, and resolution.
- Lead application support initiatives as part of a cross-functional team addressing critical customer challenges promptly.
- Promote Entegris's technological leadership by participating in conferences and publishing technical research.
Qualifications:
- Master's or PhD in a relevant technical field (Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or similar);
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in the semiconductor industry is essential;
- At least 4 years of hands-on experience with wet clean tools and/or processes is required.
Preferred Attributes:
- Familiarity with chemistry and chemical engineering concepts (fluid dynamics, mass transfer, and thermal transfer) is advantageous.
- Experience managing or supervising a team for 2+ years is a plus.
- Ability to effectively communicate ideas and conclusions through data is crucial for this role.
- A solid grasp of statistics, SPC, DOEs, and familiarity with Six Sigma methodologies is preferred.
