Foot Locker is on the lookout for a seasoned Senior Human Resources Services Specialist to enhance their vibrant and cooperative team. The Team Member Service Center serves as the primary contact for all Total Rewards and Compliance inquiries (Benefits, Payroll Compensation, Employee Relations, Leave of Absence, Policy Interpretation) for the U.S., Canada, and Puerto Rico. This position supports a rotational schedule of live call interactions with Team Members in a call center environment during standard business hours.

The Senior HR Services Specialist delivers a high level of collaboration through engagement with Foot Locker Team Members, HR business partners, and stakeholders. This role aims to provide interactive Compliance, Employee Relations, and Benefits Administration support via phone and email to effectively implement our Total Rewards and Team Member Services strategy. The senior specialist will also focus on advancing process improvement initiatives, leading regulatory audits, and unifying data sets to predict future trends and identify training requirements. Additionally, the role emphasizes the creation of scalable centralized policies and processes that enhance employee and stakeholder satisfaction while minimizing risks. To excel in this position, one must exhibit exceptional knowledge and stay updated on evolving regulations at the provincial, local, state, federal, and regulatory levels, including ACA, COBRA, HIPAA, ERISA, and other updates from the DOL, HHS, and IRS.

Responsibilities
  • Monitor case load volumes and escalated ServiceNow cases from Team Members and HR business partners to assess qualifying benefits for U.S. and Canadian team members.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for various benefit and retirement plan inquiries through phone calls, emails, and ServiceNow, providing expert advice and resolution.
  • Collaborate with various functional leads in the benefits department on strategic HR administration projects and optimize current practices.
  • Administer benefit plans in a compliant manner by reviewing PeopleSoft queries and reporting to ensure accuracy.
  • Drive efficiencies and promote process improvements, including process design, compliance documentation, and develop reporting for auditing purposes.
  • Update and enhance Annual Enrollment communications and process improvements to boost enrollment efficiency.
  • Review and process Qualified Life Events and Leave of Absence benefit cases submitted to HR Services.
  • Support the New Hire Onboarding Process for U.S. and Canadian team members.
  • Collaborate with benefits providers and external vendor portals to update and maintain records.

Qualifications

The Senior HR Services Specialist should possess a passion for engaging with diverse groups and the capability to apply solutions using established procedures. A bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field is required. Previous experience in the HR or Benefits sector, along with PHR or SHRM-CP certification or equivalent, is preferred.

  • Understanding of company policies and applicable employment regulations.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in HR, Employee Relations, Benefits, Compliance, customer service, and/or call center knowledge of employment and HR-related laws, regulations, policies, and principles.
  • Strong collaboration skills with the ability to take direction effectively, act independently, and adapt quickly to detail; experience in Retail, Banking, Manufacturing, Call Center, and/or Shared Service Center is preferred.
  • Excellent communication, critical thinking, problem-solving, and time management skills.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Working knowledge of PeopleSoft and/or HRIS experience is preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience working effectively and accurately in a high-volume, fast-paced matrixed environment.
  • Ability to collaborate with both vendors and associates at all levels in a professional, respectful, cooperative, and courteous manner.
  • Ability to prioritize conflicting needs, handle matters expeditiously, and proactively follow through on projects to successful completion.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee information.
  • Demonstrates a positive customer service attitude and collaborative demeanor with experience fostering an inclusive workplace.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
Benefits

The annual base salary range is $55,000 per year. This range represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary for this position. Salary will be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
