Position: Human Resources Generalist – Key Responsibilities

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Deliver consultative support for human resource initiatives affecting leadership and employees across the organization.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance the employee experience and collaborate with leadership to create and implement effective solutions.
  • Analyze metrics to evaluate organizational effectiveness and suggest improvements. Manage daily HR operations within the designated division.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on policies, procedures, employment law, and core HR functions.
  • Focus on employee relations, policy enforcement, and strategic implementation.
  • Conduct exit interviews and analyze findings to recommend enhancements to the work environment.
  • Build strong partnerships with divisional leadership to align HR support with business objectives.
  • Act as a culture ambassador, promoting diversity and inclusion in recruitment, promotions, and employee recognition.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory training requirements by developing and managing an annual training plan.
  • Stay informed on trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in HR and employment law to drive continuous improvement.
  • Facilitate biweekly meetings with the division to address employee relations, review metrics, and identify recruitment and training opportunities.

EMPLOYEE RELATIONS

  • Collaborate closely with the division to foster positive change and proactively address employee concerns.
  • Assess employee development needs and recommend professional development solutions in partnership with divisional leaders.
  • Document and manage employee disciplinary actions, terminations, and investigations in accordance with HR policies.
  • Provide guidance and coaching to management on employee relations issues to minimize organizational risk.
  • Educate supervisors on effective conflict resolution and conduct training on disciplinary procedures.
  • Analyze employee relations data to identify trends and recommend training or policy enhancements.

RECRUITMENT AND ONBOARDING

  • Support recruitment and onboarding initiatives within the division by:
  • Building partnerships with businesses, educational institutions, and other organizations to source qualified candidates.
  • Posting vacant positions promptly and ensuring visibility on appropriate job boards until filled.
  • Collaborating with managers to create comprehensive job descriptions and recruitment strategies aimed at filling vacancies efficiently.
  • Ensuring timely communication of offer letters to selected candidates.
  • Facilitating a smooth onboarding process for new hires within the division.
  • Delivering New Hire Orientation within the first two weeks of employment.
  • Reviewing division vacancies to strategize effective workforce planning.
  • Training managers on interviewing standards and guidelines as needed.
  • Organizing job fairs as necessary, overseeing event logistics and candidate management.

BENEFITS ADMINISTRATION

  • Assist in managing WSFSSH's benefits program, including health, retirement, disability, and leave policies.
  • Support the administration of the annual Open Enrollment process.

TALENT MANAGEMENT

  • Implement the Performance Management Cycle for the division, training managers on its importance and ensuring effective administration.
  • Educate managers on internal HR policies and procedures, including performance management and recruitment.
  • Facilitate compliance training for the division.
  • Assess employee learning and development needs to bridge skill gaps.
  • Track compliance with mandatory training and certifications.
  • Assist in developing and executing talent management strategies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Business, or a related field, along with 5+ years of HR experience in a generalist capacity.
  • PHR/SPHR certification is highly preferred.
  • Proficiency with ADP Workforce Now is strongly preferred.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Exceptional coaching skills with a track record of enhancing employee performance.
  • Ability to build trusting relationships with all levels of management and staff.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and sound judgment in decision-making.
  • Proven ability to navigate ambiguity and create effective processes.
