Gecko Hospitality is seeking a talented and passionate Culinary Director to lead our upscale restaurant in Bend, Oregon.
As the Culinary Director, you will be responsible for developing and executing creative menus that elevate the dining experience. You will oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, ensuring the highest quality standards are maintained while fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Responsibilities:
- Develop innovative menus that align with our restaurant's concept and culinary vision.
- Manage all kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and plating, upholding exceptional quality standards.
- Lead, train, and inspire a team of culinary professionals, cultivating a supportive and collaborative atmosphere.
- Implement effective inventory management systems and cost control measures to optimize profitability.
- Collaborate with the management team to enhance guest satisfaction and maintain the restaurant's reputation for excellence.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Executive Chef in a fine-dining establishment.
- Culinary degree or equivalent education and training.
- Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to mentor and motivate diverse culinary teams.
- A passion for culinary arts, staying current on industry trends and techniques.
- In-depth knowledge of food and labor cost controls, menu development, and food safety regulations.
