Job Title: Customer Service Representative

Planned Parenthood of Central and Western New York (PPCWNY) is seeking a highly skilled Customer Service Representative to join our team. As a Customer Service Representative, you will be the first point of contact for our patients, providing exceptional service and support to ensure a positive experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Answer incoming calls and handle appointment setting with accuracy and efficiency
  • Record patient data with high accuracy and communicate relevant information to patients
  • Assist patients in assessing financial options and provide information on Health Center visits
  • Provide information on medical services offered in regional locations
  • Continuously increase knowledge and understanding of tools, software, and training materials to maintain proficiency
  • Demonstrate exceptional customer service, patience, and ability to effectively communicate with staff and patients
  • Maintain a current understanding of and follow all processes and procedures to respond to internal and external customers
  • Determine and arrange for special accommodations needed by patients, such as interpreters
  • Qualify medical or options counseling questions to other medical team members and direct or transfer calls to the appropriate department
  • Address patient concerns in a prompt, courteous, confidential, and caring manner
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Minimum of 2 years call center experience and/or phone contact in a healthcare setting preferred
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Basic computer proficiency and excellent data entry skills with a high degree of accuracy
  • Organizational skills and ability to handle multiple priorities
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule with rotating evenings and weekends
  • Reliable transportation and/or a valid driver's license not in jeopardy of being revoked
