Terracon, a fully employee-owned organization, is expanding and seeking a skilled Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist in the A/E/C sector to join our National Recruitment team. In this dynamic position, you will collaborate with Operations to address our critical hiring needs while advising office leaders on effective recruitment strategies and devising plans to attract top-tier talent.

Your extensive experience in consulting and sourcing will empower you to manage the complete recruitment cycle (including intake discussions, strategy development, candidate sourcing, screening, and presenting candidates) while assisting managers in crafting and extending competitive offers.

Our National Recruitment team also engages in various HR initiatives, providing you with the chance to collaborate with colleagues and lead or participate in projects aimed at elevating our organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage full life-cycle recruitment across the organization or for designated roles.
  • Operate independently, leveraging industry expertise and professional standards to achieve objectives and address complex challenges.
  • Formulate and execute recruitment strategies to identify qualified candidates, assessing their strengths against job requirements and competencies.
  • Provide guidance on offer strategies and assist in negotiations.
  • Coordinate interview processes for mid to senior-level roles.
  • Design and implement advertising campaigns and outreach programs.
  • Utilize innovative sourcing techniques to attract candidates for specialized and hard-to-fill positions.
  • May assist in selecting recruitment vendors.
  • Advise Hiring Managers on the overall recruitment process, including offer strategies and negotiations.
  • Collaborate with operational hiring teams on job requisition details and development.
  • Establish credibility as a Recruitment subject matter expert, mentoring hiring managers to enhance process efficiency.
  • Review job descriptions to ensure they are formatted correctly for online postings and niche job boards.
  • Effectively screen and interview candidates to evaluate their skills and cultural fit.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the A/E/C industry, relevant sectors, and market demographics.
  • Ensure a positive candidate experience throughout the interview and hiring process.
  • Lead initiatives to enhance the candidate experience.
  • Consistently update the applicant tracking system and communicate with hiring managers promptly.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and company policies.
  • Participate in and lead efforts to improve recruitment processes as needed.
  • Develop and conduct training on industry best practices for hiring managers and team members.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and report any safety concerns to management.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration or a related field, with a minimum of 10 years of professional recruitment experience in an engineering consulting firm or similar corporate environment. Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations is required. Alternatively, a minimum of 14 years of related experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Proficiency in various creative sourcing techniques for both active and passive candidates.
  • Experience with applicant tracking systems is required (Brass Ring preferred).
  • Familiarity with social media platforms (LinkedIn, Facebook, X, etc.).
  • Proven ability to develop and execute recruitment strategies for complex, hard-to-fill positions.
  • Strong marketing skills to effectively communicate the company's goals to potential candidates.
  • Ability to manage multiple high-priority requisitions simultaneously.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
Preferred Certifications:
  • CIR (Certified Internet Researcher), LinkedIn Certified Recruiter, or similar credentials.
