Terracon, a fully employee-owned organization, is expanding and is in search of a skilled and experienced Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist to become a part of our National Recruitment team. In this dynamic position, you will collaborate with Operations to address our key hiring needs while advising office leaders on effective recruitment strategies and formulating plans to source and identify outstanding candidates.
Your extensive consulting and sourcing expertise will empower you to manage the complete recruitment cycle (including intake discussions, crafting and executing recruitment strategies, sourcing, screening, and presenting candidates) while assisting managers in developing and extending competitive offers.
Our National Recruitment team also engages in various HR initiatives, providing you with the chance to collaborate with colleagues and lead or participate in additional projects aimed at elevating our organization.

Key Responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive staffing and recruitment processes across the organization or for designated portfolios Operate autonomously, utilizing industry insights and professional standards to achieve objectives and resolve complex challenges Formulate and execute recruitment strategies aimed at identifying qualified candidates, assessing their strengths against job descriptions and competencies Provide guidance on offer strategies and assist in negotiations Coordinate interview processes for mid to senior-level roles Develop and implement advertising campaigns and initiatives Identify and attract candidates for specialized and challenging positions using innovative recruitment methods May assist in the selection of vendors Collaborate with Hiring Managers on the overall recruitment process, including offer strategies and negotiations Work with operations hiring teams on job requisition details and creation Establish credibility as a Recruitment subject matter expert (SME), mentoring and guiding hiring managers to enhance process efficiency Review job descriptions to ensure proper formatting for online job postings and niche platforms Effectively screen and interview candidates to evaluate their skills and cultural fit Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the A/E/C industry, related sectors, and market demographics Ensure a positive candidate experience throughout the interview and hiring process Lead and guide others in ensuring a positive candidate experience Regularly update the applicant tracking system and keep hiring managers informed Ensure compliance with regulatory and company policies Participate in and lead efforts to improve the recruitment process as needed Develop, lead, and engage in training and dissemination of industry best practices to hiring managers and team members Adhere to safety protocols, guidelines, and standards for all projects. Engage in pre-task planning and report any safety concerns to management Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in business administration or a related field, with a minimum of 10 years of professional staffing and recruitment experience in an engineering consulting firm or similar corporate environment. Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations is required. Alternatively, a minimum of 14 years of related experience may be considered in lieu of a degree Proficiency in various creative sourcing techniques for both active and passive candidates Experience with applicant tracking systems is required (Brass Ring preferred) Familiarity with social networking platforms (LinkedIn, Facebook, X, etc.) Proven experience in developing and executing recruitment strategies for complex, hard-to-fill positions Ability to effectively market and communicate a company's objectives to potential candidates Capacity to manage multiple high-priority requisitions Strong written and verbal communication skills Valid driver's license with an acceptable violation history Preferred Certifications: CIR (Certified Internet Researcher), LinkedIn Certified Recruiter, or related certifications
