Hamlyn Williams is seeking a proficient and knowledgeable Lead Manufacturing Process Specialist to enhance our operational team.

The Lead Manufacturing Process Specialist will take charge of designing, executing, and refining production methodologies to boost efficiency, quality, and safety standards.

The ideal candidate will possess a robust foundation in engineering concepts, exceptional problem-solving skills, and relevant experience in a production or manufacturing setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, design, and implement production processes aimed at improving operational efficiency and product quality.
  • Perform process simulations and data analysis to pinpoint opportunities for enhancement.
  • Work collaboratively with various teams, including production, quality control, and maintenance, to ensure seamless operations.
  • Assess and monitor process performance, making necessary adjustments to achieve production targets.
  • Create and maintain process documentation, such as standard operating procedures and work instructions.
  • Uphold and enforce safety regulations and standards within production processes.
  • Identify and resolve process-related challenges to minimize downtime and ensure consistent product quality.
  • Engage in continuous improvement initiatives, including Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma projects.
  • Provide training and support to production personnel on new processes and equipment.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience as a Process Engineer in a manufacturing or production context.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Familiarity with process simulation software and statistical analysis tools.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other methodologies for process enhancement.
  • Awareness of safety standards and regulations.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with automation and control systems.
  • Understanding of project management principles.
  • Certification in Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies.
