Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Manager to join our team at Nautilus General Contractors. As a key member of our sales and marketing team, you will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building relationships with industry stakeholders, and driving business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Business Development: Identify new leads through industry relationships with key stakeholders, evaluate lead potential, and develop strategies to convert leads into construction projects.
  2. Lead Prioritization: Prioritize leads originating from Nautilus Business Consultant's consulting assignments, identify key influencers, and develop a strategic plan to position Nautilus for litigation repair projects.
  3. Industry Events: Participate in trade association/industry events monthly to increase brand awareness, build industry alliances, and gather market intelligence.
  4. Relationship Building: Build relationships with community management organizations, community managers, and attorneys via strategic marketing and co-sponsored events.
  5. Lead Tracking: Track, update, and monitor new leads from initiation to close through the CRM database, ensuring proposal deadlines, board meetings, interviews, presentation dates, and project award dates are accurate.
  6. Team Collaboration: Participate in the weekly Project Management Team meetings and collaborate with the Construction and Project Management teams to organize content and sales approach.
  7. CRM Maintenance: Regularly update the CRM database to maintain a current list of contacts, community managers, board members, attorneys, experts, and other networking sources.
  8. Presentation and Proposal Development: Prepare presentations for interviews, proposal reviews, board, and town hall meetings, and collaborate with the Construction and Project Management teams to organize content and sales approach.
  9. Follow-up and Communication: Follow up in a timely manner on outstanding proposals and meet regularly with the Director of Sales and Marketing to review activities, sales strategies, and progress.
  10. Market Intelligence: Monitor the work of Nautilus' consulting division to build a pipeline of reconstruction project leads, identify key relationships, and maintain an awareness of destructive testing projects.
  11. Client Support: Schedule follow-up/touch-base calls with the manager, board members, and Nautilus project manager during active construction projects to ensure expectations are met and provide support to the project manager as needed.
  12. Expense Reporting: Keep accurate records of all business-related expenses, including mileage, and submit monthly reports.

Work Environment:

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in business development, sales, and marketing, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. They will be able to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple priorities, and meet internal and external deadlines.

Travel Requirements:

The position requires regular travel to visit clients, industry events, and potential work sites in the local geographic location.
