Facilities Operations Coordinator

The Facilities Operations Coordinator is responsible for ongoing preventative upkeep, repair tasks, and monitoring of physical infrastructure systems, which encompass mechanical, electrical, and other installed components. This role may require occasional maintenance on an 'on-call' basis. The Facilities Operations Coordinator ensures the aesthetic upkeep of the facility while adhering to all relevant safety protocols and procedures during work activities.
Key Responsibilities
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to, the following. Additional tasks may be assigned.
- Conducts preventative maintenance and repairs on furniture, fixtures, equipment, and building systems. (Significant repairs may be executed with or by third-party vendors under the oversight of facilities personnel)
- Completes daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance checklists and maintains records of all performed maintenance.
- Facilitates the efficient and timely management of all departmental work orders and requests.
- Performs inspections of the facility and reports on conditions impacting operations.
- May operate a computer system that controls and monitors mechanical equipment.
- Basic familiarity with audio/visual equipment is advantageous.
- Responds to urgent maintenance requests during and after standard operational hours to address immediate safety issues and ensure readiness for operations.
- Assists in the renovation and remodeling of exhibition spaces; including drywall repairs and painting of structural elements.
- May gather estimates for supplies and repair components.
- Engages in general landscaping activities, including weeding, watering, and tree maintenance.
- Accountable for maintaining a clean and safe working environment, with a continuous focus on promoting employee health and safety. Reports safety concerns to management.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Must be available to occasionally work additional shifts to ensure adequate coverage.
- Must successfully pass a criminal background check.
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the position, including standing for extended periods and lifting objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
