Job Overview

The Facilities Operations Coordinator is responsible for the ongoing maintenance and repair of various systems within the organization. This role involves monitoring and ensuring the functionality of mechanical, electrical, and other essential systems. The position may require on-call maintenance duties and a commitment to maintaining the facility's overall appearance while adhering to safety protocols.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The following duties are essential to the role, though additional tasks may be assigned:

  • Conducts preventative maintenance and repairs on furniture, fixtures, equipment, and building systems, with major repairs potentially coordinated with external vendors under supervision.
  • Completes and maintains daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance checklists and records.
  • Ensures timely and efficient processing of all departmental work orders and requests.
  • Performs inspections of the facility and reports on conditions impacting operations.
  • May operate computer systems that monitor and control mechanical equipment.
  • Basic familiarity with audio/visual equipment is advantageous.
  • Responds to urgent maintenance requests during and outside regular operational hours to address immediate safety issues and maintain readiness.
  • Assists in the renovation and remodeling of exhibition spaces, including drywall repairs and painting tasks.
  • May gather estimates for necessary supplies and repair components.
  • Engages in general landscaping activities, including weeding, watering, and tree maintenance.
  • Responsible for ensuring a clean and safe work environment, emphasizing employee health and safety, and reporting any safety concerns to management.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Must be available to work additional shifts as needed to ensure adequate coverage.
Additional Requirements:
  • Must successfully pass a criminal background check.
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the position, including prolonged standing and lifting items up to 50 lbs.
