Key Responsibilities
  • Facilities Management: Oversee the daily operations of airport facilities, including custodial services, maintenance, and repairs.
  • Staff Supervision: Supervise and train a team of custodial and maintenance staff to ensure that they are equipped to perform their duties effectively.
  • Supply Management: Identify and recommend the type and quantity of supplies, chemicals, and equipment needed to maintain airport facilities.
  • Preventative Maintenance: Ensure that preventative maintenance is performed on custodial equipment and other airport facilities to prevent breakdowns and ensure safe operations.
  • Emergency Response: Respond to emergency situations in a timely manner to ensure the safety of airport staff and passengers.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with airport staff, management, and stakeholders to ensure that facilities management needs are met.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in facilities management or related field preferred.
  • Experience: 5 years of experience in facilities management, custodial services, or maintenance; supervisory experience preferred.
  • Knowledge: Knowledge of Federal and PA State regulations, including ADA requirements, OSHA standards, and indoor quality control standards.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and supervisory skills; ability to work in a fast-paced environment; ability to lift 75 lbs. and use a cart, dolly, ladder, or forklift.
Working Conditions
  • Physical Demands: Must be able to sit, stand, and walk; move legs, arms, wrists, and fingers; occasionally lift 75 lbs. and use a cart, dolly, ladder, or forklift.
  • Environmental Conditions: Must be able to tolerate exposure to temperatures ranging from -20o F to 100oF; dirt, dust, pollen, and other airborne particulates; and inclement weather conditions.
  • Noise Level: Must be able to tolerate exposure to loud noise levels up to 120 decibels and work in close proximity to 480-volt power sources.
