Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Security Systems Technician II to join our team at IES Communications. As a key member of our technical staff, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting security systems for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Installation and Maintenance: Program and install security systems, including card access, CCTV, CATV, and intrusion systems, in accordance with manufacturer requirements and engineered drawings.
  • Project Coordination: Coordinate small groups of installers to ensure timely completion of projects, adhering to company safety and quality standards.
  • Paperwork and Administration: Assist in the completion of all necessary paperwork, including timesheets, material transfers, work orders, change orders, and tool transfers.
  • Quality and Safety: Adhere to and participate in all company, customer, and industry quality and safety standards and regulations.
  • Other Responsibilities: Complete other tasks as assigned by management.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or GED equivalency.
  • Experience: Minimum of two years of experience in commercial security systems or a related telecommunications field, with the ability to supervise others.
  • Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), ability to interpret blueprints and project documents, and knowledge of universal communications color codes.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to work at heights, off of a ladder, and in confined spaces, lift up to 50 pounds, and move up to 75 pounds.
