Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Battery Technician II to join our team at CPG Corporation. As a key member of our electrical systems team, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of battery systems related to Uninterruptable Power Supply systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with the installation and replacement of batteries and battery systems.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on battery systems to ensure optimal performance and extend lifespan.
  • Assist with troubleshooting and repair of battery systems.
  • Interact effectively with internal and external customers to provide excellent customer service.
  • Follow established procedures and protocols for electrical work, including safety procedures and emergency response plans.
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure seamless execution of electrical systems projects.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and advancements in battery technology.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Clean driving record and ability to operate company vehicles.
  • Safe operation of department equipment and tools.
  • Elementary fix/repair techniques based on directed supervision.
  • Knowledge of or ability to learn basic AC/DC theory, electronic components, and electronic circuitry.
Preferred Qualifications
  • OSHA 10-hour certification.
  • NFPA-70E Safety Training.
  • Experience with battery systems and electrical maintenance.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.
