Position Overview:

The Arizona Department of Administration (ADOA) General Services Division (GSD) is in search of a committed Electronic Security Systems Technician to become a part of our Physical Security Department. This position plays a crucial role in safeguarding the well-being of personnel, guests, and facilities overseen by ADOA, which encompasses a significant number of buildings across the state.

The Electronic Security Systems Technician will take charge of the setup, maintenance, and repair of electronic security apparatus, which includes access control mechanisms, surveillance cameras, alarm systems, emergency communication devices, and panic alert systems. Furthermore, this role entails the programming and upkeep of the identification card system database and Video Management System (VMS). Key Responsibilities: Diagnose, service, and repair various electronic access control, alarm systems, and surveillance equipment Configure the Lenel database for new access permissions, time adjustments, and user accounts Install new access control and surveillance equipment, including card readers, electric strikes, door sensors, and central control units Program the Lenel system for subcontractors and for the addition of new doors and devices Integrate cameras into the system and configure the Video Management Device (VMD) Conduct preventative maintenance on field devices Perform proactive repairs, adjustments, and cleaning of various equipment Update and complete work orders as necessary Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Knowledge of:

Installation, programming, troubleshooting, and repair of Lenel access control systems Installation, programming, troubleshooting, and repair of surveillance cameras and IP systems Installation, programming, troubleshooting, and repair of alarm systems Installation, connection, and servicing of various types of electrified hardware Programming and maintaining the Lenel database for access levels and cardholder information Programming and maintaining the VMS software

Skills in:

Proficient computing skills Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications Utilizing a computer for setting IP addresses in cameras, switches, NVRs, and access control network boards

Ability to:

Deliver customer-focused service Exhibit self-motivation and a friendly demeanor Communicate effectively, both in writing and verbally Initiate, follow through, and complete projects in a timely manner Maintain a clean and organized work environment Preferred Qualifications: Experience as a locksmith is advantageous Skills in key duplication Proficiency in rekeying and master keying locks Experience in maintaining and updating master key systems Familiarity with key control systems Operation of key code cutting machines Service, repair, and installation of various lock types Troubleshooting and repair of all items listed above Pre-Employment Requirements: Background and reference check, including verification of criminal records
