About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Refrigeration Service Technician to join our team at Hillphoenix. As a key member of our service team, you will be responsible for the diagnosis, repair, and maintenance of commercial refrigeration systems, HVAC equipment, and ice machines installed in supermarkets, convenience stores, and food service establishments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and repair complex refrigeration systems, including conventional and rack systems, evaporative and air-cooled condensers, ice machines, water pumps, compressors, air handlers, electric motors, and all types of HVAC units.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on refrigeration systems to ensure optimal operating efficiencies and minimize downtime for customers.
  • Complete all paperwork in a timely manner and adhere to customer documentation procedures.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Clean driver's license/record.
  • EPA Certification, EPA 608 minimum types I and II or Universal.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in the diagnosis and repair of commercial refrigeration or HVAC equipment.
  • Certification from technical school or equivalent experience a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot.
  • Proficient with diagnostic and repair techniques for self-contained refrigeration systems, walk-ins, ice machines, and HVAC equipment.
  • Basic knowledge of supermarket refrigeration energy management systems a plus.
  • Strong customer service skills and ability to build relationships with customers.
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve quality results.
  • Able to work long hours on your feet and participate in on-call rotation, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
