Position Title: Aircraft Technician II

Key Skills:
Experience with Gulfstream large and mid-cabin aircraft is preferred but not mandatory.

Education and Experience Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED is essential.

Must possess an FAA Airframe and Powerplant certificate along with 2 years of aviation maintenance experience, or 4 years of aviation maintenance experience including 2 years on mid/large size aircraft.

A valid Driver's License is required.

Role Objective:
With minimal oversight, carry out inspections, maintenance, and repairs of moderate to advanced complexity on aircraft systems and structures.

Core Responsibilities:

Essential Duties:
Communicate effectively to comprehend work assignments. Execute complex aircraft inspections, repairs, and modifications with limited supervision.
Collaborate with MTL, STM, and the Inspection Department to ensure adherence to internal and FAA inspection and documentation standards. Accurately complete CMP cards, work order sign-offs, and other documentation promptly.
Assist with shift transitions as necessary.
Ensure all work performed meets quality standards and specifications.
Correctly identify (tag) customer property and equipment. Securely store aircraft components and other customer property.

Adhere to standard operating procedures when utilizing ground support equipment (external power carts, hydraulic mules, hydraulic lift platforms, tow tugs, forklifts, compressed gas cylinders, etc.). Facilitate, perform, and assist with aircraft movement in hangar and ramp areas.

Provide mentorship to less experienced technicians.
Safeguard customer property (PTP).

Additional Responsibilities:
Properly collect and dispose of waste fuel, oil, hydraulic fluids, de-icing fluids, and solvent rags. Implement 6S and Lean Initiatives to maintain cleanliness and organization in shops, hangars, and aircraft work areas.
Apply Lean/continuous improvement methodologies to all areas of responsibility.
Utilize and maintain Company-provided tools and equipment appropriately. Return items to designated storage areas after use.
Adhere to safety regulations and procedures. Use protective equipment as required and remain vigilant for unsafe conditions. Address unsafe conditions proactively.

Utilize the material tracking system to create parts demand, monitor squawks, and sign-offs, and charge labor to correct work orders.

In support of aircraft certification and final phase testing, may include flight tests on aircraft as necessary.
Perform other assigned duties as required.

Other Qualifications:
Familiarity with FAA regulations, process specifications, Repair Station and Quality Control manuals, and company policies and procedures is essential.
Must be proficient in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding the English language.
