Job Title: AV Systems Technician

Job Description

As an AV Systems Technician, your primary responsibility will be to execute installations, perform system commissioning, and handle field service tasks. This includes providing service and installation support for audio and visual products, intercom systems, Closed Circuit Television (CCTV), sound system designs, paging systems, messaging systems, digital television (DTV), and more. You will independently install and maintain various low voltage equipment, focusing on commercial environments such as restaurants and manufacturing facilities.

Utilizing standard hand tools and drills, you will prepare installation sites and set up equipment, ensuring a high standard of customer service as a representative of the company. Direct communication with clients regarding ongoing work and best practices for future maintenance will be a key aspect of your role.

Key Skills

+ Proficient in troubleshooting and repairing low voltage systems, including security cameras, audio visual equipment, and speakers.

+ Ability to interpret blueprints, utilize manuals, and apply mechanical or electrical knowledge for effective equipment diagnosis and troubleshooting.

+ Skilled in the use of a multimeter.

+ Experience with low voltage systems across various product lines.

+ Networking knowledge is advantageous.

Job Type

This position is structured as a Contract-to-Hire opportunity.

Work Environment

This role requires working both indoors and outdoors under various weather conditions. A service vehicle will be provided for transportation to job sites. The primary work area will be local, with potential travel required for projects in different locations.
