Position Summary:

We are currently seeking an experienced AV Systems Technician to enhance our operations in the Rochester, NY area. The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of three years of relevant experience and will be responsible for the deployment and implementation of diverse audio, video, and web collaboration systems. This role involves collaboration with various vendors to deliver exceptional service and ensure timely project execution in corporate settings. We also welcome entry-level cable technicians eager to advance into more technical roles within communication technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install and configure collaboration system solutions according to project specifications, including TV setups, audio solutions, video walls, and conferencing systems.
  • Identify and escalate business and technical opportunities as necessary.
  • Provide comprehensive end-user documentation for customer-facing interactions.
  • Engage in regular internal meetings with colleagues and management to discuss account status and address ongoing challenges.
  • Maintain professionalism in all interactions with customers, vendors, and team members, ensuring timely attendance at appointments and quality service delivery.
  • Submit detailed records promptly, including timesheets and reports.
  • Conduct all responsibilities in alignment with the core values of the company.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A minimum of three years of professional experience in roles such as electronics installer, alarm technician, or related fields.
  • Hands-on knowledge and experience in the design, implementation, and maintenance of audio-visual systems.
  • A solid understanding of AV systems, including signal flow, wiring, and building structure standards.
  • Familiarity with various AV signaling standards and connectors.
  • Proficiency in cable pulling and terminations for audio, video, control, and network systems.
  • Basic knowledge of construction, electrical concepts, and safety protocols.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in programming AV and lighting control systems is advantageous but not mandatory. Relevant industry certifications are also a plus.

Work Environment:

This position requires frequent on-site work at customer locations, with regular travel expected. The role may involve off-hour work and overnight travel. Candidates should be prepared for physical demands, including climbing ladders and carrying equipment weighing 50 pounds or more.
