Administrative Assistant

Tidewater Staffing is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to provide administrative support to our team. As a key member of our support staff, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process Improvement: Develop and implement administrative processes to ensure efficient and effective operations, streamlining tasks and enhancing productivity.
  • Record Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and files, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Prepare and generate routine reports and documents, providing timely and accurate information to support business decisions.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service, responding to inquiries in a professional and timely manner, and resolving issues efficiently.
  • Administrative Support: Perform word-processing, formatting, and filing tasks, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Operations Management: Ensure optimal administrative functions, including timely preparation of internal and external reports, and implementation of records management processes and procedures.
  • Supply Management: Monitor and maintain supplies within budgetary parameters, ensuring efficient use of resources.
Requirements:
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; advanced degree in business or related field preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of two years experience in an administrative/office setting.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and Adobe Pro.
  • Security Clearance: Ability to obtain a TWIC badge.
  • Industry Knowledge: Knowledge of Navy ships and government contracts preferred.
  • ADP/Payroll Experience: Background in ADP/Payroll a plus.
Skills and Abilities:
  • Time Management: Skilled in prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines.
  • Technical Skills: Skilled in MS Office suite and other software products.
  • Communication: Skilled in verbal and written communication.
  • Attention to Detail: Skilled in editing and attention to detail.

  • Adaptability: Ability to multi-task and adapt to changing priorities.
