About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Customer Service Representative. As a key member of our customer-facing team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our customers, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-level customer service to existing and new customers, resolving issues and answering questions in a timely and professional manner.
  • Interface closely with sales, service, and management teams to ensure customer satisfaction is achieved.
  • Effectively communicate and exchange information among team members to ensure seamless customer service.
  • Support Practical Process Improvement (PPI) methodology and participate in initiatives as needed.
  • Meet all required department and company training goals and expectations.
  • Answer high volumes of customer calls and accurately direct callers to the proper company within Thermo Fisher Scientific.
  • Process telephone orders placed with verbal P.O. or credit card.
  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of all product lines and product knowledge to accurately detail our products to customers, distributors, and sales representatives.
  • Communicate daily with customers, distributors, and sales representatives regarding sales channels, product lines, equipment, descriptions, features, terms and conditions, specifications, warranties, freight terms, deliveries, pricing, policies, freight estimates, inside delivery estimates, returns installation, and any other requirements to fulfill the conditions of contracts and orders.
  • Act as the liaison between the customer and internal contacts.
  • Meet defined goals within upper and lower control limits to meet overall department service levels.
Requirements
  • High school graduate or GED required.
  • 3+ years customer service experience.
  • Excellent computer skills required; efficiency in Word and Excel.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; both oral and written.
